Return and Refund Policy

This policy explains how returns, replacements, and refunds work for goods or paid services supplied by Chiphronglexiron when separate contract documents do not state different terms. Consumer rights under EU and Finnish law continue to apply where they cannot be limited.

Scope

This policy covers physical meal kits, bundled goods, workshop materials shipped to you, and prepaid service blocks purchased through our channels. Digital-only recipe packs may have different refund rules stated at purchase. If enterprise catering agreements include bespoke terms, those terms prevail for the signed engagement.

Right of withdrawal for distance contracts

When you purchase as a consumer online or otherwise at distance, you may have fourteen days to withdraw without giving reasons, starting when you receive the goods or when the service contract is concluded. Exceptions apply to perishable goods that are not suitable for return once hygiene seals are broken, and to services fully performed with your prior express consent before the withdrawal period ends.

If withdrawal is valid, we refund all payments received, including the least expensive standard delivery cost where charged, within fourteen days from the day we receive the returned goods or evidence of shipment, using the same payment method unless you agree otherwise.

Defective, damaged, or wrong items

Inspect deliveries promptly. Report defects, damage, or mismatches within forty-eight hours of receipt with a clear description and photographs if helpful. We may request batch labels or lot codes printed on packaging. Remedies include repair or replacement where feasible, or a price reduction or contract termination with refund if repair or replacement is impossible or disproportionate under applicable law.

Condition required for returns

  • Items should be unused and in saleable condition unless the return is due to our error or a defect.
  • Original inner packaging and safety seals must be intact for food-adjacent goods unless the defect made the product unsafe to keep sealed.
  • Include proof of purchase such as an order confirmation or receipt number.

Return shipping

Where you exercise a statutory right of withdrawal for non-defective goods, you bear the direct cost of return shipping unless we state otherwise in writing. For verified defects or incorrect shipments, we provide a return label or reimburse reasonable postage upon approval.

Refunds and timing

Approved refunds are initiated promptly and in any event within fourteen days of approval, subject to payment partner processing times that are outside our control. Partial refunds may apply if part of a bundle is kept or if services were partially rendered with your consent.

Subscriptions and standing orders

You may cancel future renewals by following the notice window in your confirmation email, typically at least forty-eight hours before the next preparation day. Charges for boxes already in production or dispatched are generally not refundable except where law requires.

Events outside our control

Severe weather, transport strikes, or supplier shortages may delay fulfilment. We will propose reschedule, substitution with your consent where allergens allow, or refund for undelivered portions. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers after handover, though we will assist with tracing.

  1. Email or call using the studio contact above with order reference and reason.
  2. Wait for written approval and any label we issue before shipping high-value goods back.
  3. Pack items securely; perishable returns may be declined if spoilage risk is high and no defect is confirmed.

Data processing

Return communications are processed under our Privacy Policy. We retain correspondence and transaction records as long as needed to complete the return and satisfy accounting obligations.

Changes

We may update this Return and Refund Policy to reflect new product formats or legal guidance. The hero date shows the calendar day you are viewing; material changes will be summarised in the body text.
